ON July 3, last year’s Town Mayor Councillor Neil Thomas received representatives at West House from his previous chosen charities that had been selected in May 2013 for his term in office.
It is normal at this time of the year for the outgoing Town Mayor to present cheques to his chosen charities from money raised through the year’s activities and events.
During his year in office the Town Mayor had raised money throughout the year for Penarth Youth Project and a defibrillator from the British Heart Foundation for the town centre.
Both charities received cheques totalling £547.21.
