PENARTH Travel has joined forces with Marie Curie Cancer Care to collect unwanted foreign coins.

Caxton FX has found that British holidaymakers waste more than £100m by not reusing their loose change once they return from an international trip.

In a survey commissioned by the currency card provider, the results found that 71.9 per cent of people bring back loose change after their holiday; with nearly 25 per cent of all respondents bringing back between £11 and £20

Penarth Travel is therefore encouraging customers and indeed any local travellers who return home from their vacations with pockets full of small denomination – Euros, Cents, Quarters, Dinars, Rupees etc to bring them into the Agency and as a reward will be entered into a draw to win a Penarth Travel Gift Voucher.

Margaret Hewlett, Managing Director of Penarth Travel, said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for us all to help a local charity by donating our loose foreign currency to good causes. The team at Penarth Travel would be pleased to forward any coins brought into the Agency to our chosen charity which is Marie Curie Cancer Care, Penarth, alternately you can send your coins direct to the Hospice at Bridgeman Road, Penarth, CF64 3YR.”
