A CEREMONY to mark the centenary of the beginning of the First World War is set to be held at the Dinas Powys war memorial.
During the ceremony, which will be held on August 4 at 10.45am, the names of the 36 men listed on the memorial, as well as two additional names recently discovered, will be read out.
Details of where they lived and where and when they fought and died will also be read out.
The Last Post will also be sounded.

At 1.30pm a session will also be held in Lee Hall with an illustrated presentation telling of the lives of those men from Dinas Powys and Michaelston-le-pit who gave their lives in the war – including where they lived, where they fought and died, and where they are now buried or otherwise remembered.
