KEEPMOAT'S annual charity golf day to raise funds for T? Hafan had a successful turnout with 88 golfers turning up to support the charity.

A total of 22 teams took part in the Keepmoat charity golf day on Tuesday, July 8, in a bid to raise £6,000. The event raised £8,000 for the T? Hafan hospice which cares for children with life limiting illnesses in Wales, over £1,500 more than last year.

The T? Hafan hospice, which is located in Sully, South Glamorgan between Cardiff and Barry , needs to raise £3.7m million a year to provide care and support to life-limited families in Wales.

Keepmoat held the event, as the firm is currently working within close proximity to the charity where they are currently delivering Welsh Housing Quality Standards (WHQS) works.

Alison Stallard, Head of Business and Community Fundraising at T? Hafan, said: "Keepmoat have been tremendous supporters of T? Hafan for many years.

"We are really pleased that the annual golf day was such a success and the fantastic amount raised will make such a difference to support our work with life-limited children and their families from across Wales."

Keepmoat’s Project Manager Steve Locke said: "I’m pleased that the event was a success and we hope to be able to donate an even higher figure in 2015.

"The hospice is really close to our site and we believe it’s important for us to support local charities like T? Hafan, which contribute so much to the area. We hope to continue our relationship with this incredible organisation."
