PENARTH based drum and dance troupe Ommadom recently presented their Summer Solstice charity Hafla held in the Penarth Conservative Club to raise monies for local cancer charity, Tenovus.
Belly dancers came from far and wide, including Bristol, Bath, Aberystwyth to showcase their art form at the Ommadom Hafla.
The Summer Solstice Hafla took many months of hard work and planning, and Ommadom met their objective of raising a substantial sum for the charity.
Ommadom also took part in the Penarth Summer Festival parade and took the opportunity of presenting a cheque to Tenovus for £840.24 on the festival stage. Ommadom then grabbed the chance of an impromptu performance on stage with the Marconi Beach Sound.
Ommadom would like to thank the 21 belly dance performance groups and local band the Silver Backs together with all stall holders, Foxys Deli, star of the show Carmen Jones and everyone else who helped us raise a fantastic sum for Tenovus.
