CCTV monitoring in the Vale of Glamorgan led to 15 arrests last week.

The Vale of Glamorgan Council's CCTV team contacted police a total of 65 times during the week ending Sunday, August 3.

On Monday, July 28 one person was arrested on Holton Road, Barry for aggravated burglary, and two people were arrested on Barry Waterfront, one for theft and fraud, and one for assault.

On Tuesday, July 29 one person was arrested on Regent Street and one person was arrested on Main Street, and two people were arrested on Wednesday, July 30, one on Llantwit Street and one in Sensory Park on Gladstone Road, all charged with assault.

On Friday, August 1 on Holton Road two people were arrested for burglary, on Barry Waterfront one person was arrested for theft, and on Broad Street one person was arrested for being drunk in charge of a vehicle.

On Saturday, August 2 on Albert Road, Penarth, one person was arrested for possession of drugs.

On Sunday, August 3 one person was arrested on High Street for theft, and one person was arrested on Holton Road wanted on a warrant.

All crimes are alleged at the time of incident.

The Vale of Glamorgan’s CCTV operation is part of the Safer Vale Partnership, which comprises of representatives of the Vale of Glamorgan Council, Police, Fire and Rescue, Probation and Crown Prosecution Services, Vale Local Health Board, NHS Trusts, Vale Council for Voluntary Service and other statutory and voluntary bodies.
