THE British Heart Foundation (BHF) Cymru would like children aged 11 or under to take part in the Bag It. Beat It. poster competition. Children are encouraged to get creative and design their own heart superhero possessing special powers to help fight congenital heart disease.
Over 200 Welsh children with congenital heart defects, often limiting their physical ability and quality of life, will start school this year, but 18 of their potential classmates will have lost their life before reaching school age.
The BHF Campaign encourages people to donate unwanted items to BHF stores to help fund research to get as many children to attend school.
The winner and runner up entrants will have their posters made into a soft toy for them to keep, made by Just-cuddle.com. The winning design will be displayed in all 735 BHF shops during October and have an opportunity to take part in a photo shoot outside their local BHF shop.
