THE ANNUAL Town Mayor's quiz night raised more than £400 for charity.
Town Mayor Cllr Martin Turner and Mayoress Dorothy Turner held the entertaining charity quiz night at the Paget Rooms last Friday, October 10.
The Paget Rooms was packed with teams representing local groups, organisations, charities and Town Councillors who came to join in the fun.
The night was in aid of the Town Mayor's nominated charities, for his year in office, which are; Llamau (homelessness for young people) and Penarth Live at Home scheme.
A large number of prizes were raffled and donated by local businesses.
The winners of the quiz were the Famous Five with a score of 82 and whose collective knowledge edged them ahead of the competition by 14 points.
The team, which included Penarth councillors Neil Thomas and Rhiannon Birch, gratefully received a case of wine for their efforts and a cup.
The Town Mayor wishes to thank everyone who supported the event which raised more than £450.
