ST AUGUSTINE'S Church is set to host a unique concert titled 'Four hands, four feet' with well-known organists Robert Court and Jeffrey Howard from 7.30pm on Sunday, November 23.

Playing together on the organ and also making use of iPads and a piano in various combinations, these two versatile musicians somehow manage to work together in perfect harmony, whilst also providing humorous commentary as the programme progresses. Organists are usually hidden away, but on this occasion all the brilliant footwork and use of stops can be seen on a projection screen. It is, in the words of someone who heard them at the Welsh Prom Concert in July, "the best thing I have ever seen”.

The event is being organised by the Friends of St Augustine’s Church and they are delighted that Robert and Jeffrey are putting on this performance which was such an enormous success in St David’s Hall in the summer. The programme is likely to have wide appeal as it includes Saint-Saints’ Dance Macabre, film themes from On Golden Pond, extracts from Mozart’s Symphony No 40 and ‘other treats’.

Chair of the Friends, Tricia Griffiths, is hoping that this particular concert will attract a very wide range of people. “Having heard and seen Robert and Jeff in action together before, I can say with confidence that this will have you on the edge of your seats, and we hope that a number of younger people will come along and be enthralled. It is an experience not to be missed.”

Tickets will be available on the door and are £7 (full), £5 (for members of the Friends) Free for children under 11 and £2 for those over 11 and students.

Proceeds from the concert will be in aid of the charity Thrive which supports children with disabilities and their families, and The Friends of St Augustine’s which helps to maintain St Augustine’s church.
