PENARTH'S Jodi Bird is set to give an insight into her rapid rise to fame during a TV documentary next week.

Jodi, who shot to stardom in this year's Britain's Got Talent, is set to star alongside Ioan Williams and Leisa Gwenllian in S4C's #Fi on Wednesday afternoon, November 26, with the programme available to watch online afterwards.

All three youngsters are determined to realise their dreams in the performing arts and the programme follows the trio as they sing, dance and act their way to success.

#Fi: Jodi, Ioan a Leisa is part of a series shown on S4C’s children and young people’s service, Stwnsh; which portrays Wales’ interesting, brave, and unique children.

Jodi Bird, 16, has already had a taste of fame after appearing on Britain’s Got Talent earlier this year, and will be followed by the Welsh-language channel as she prepares for a musical theatre performance.

Ysgol Bro Morgannwg pupil Jodi said: “I’ve loved singing since I was very small and I can’t imagine wanting to do anything else.”

12-year-old Ioan Williams' feet are never still as he practises jazz, step, disco and ballet dancing with the aim of being centre stage on the West End stage one day.

Ioan, from Cardiff, said: “I’ve had many different experiences. I had a call-back for an audition for the role of Billy Elliot in London, and although I didn’t get through, it really helped my confidence and it was an incredible experience.”

Leisa Gwenllian, who is 12 and comes from Llanrug, is already a familiar face on S4C serial drama Rownd a Rownd and CBBC’s Rocket’s Island. The programme follows her on-set as she films for the popular fantasy series.

Leisa said: “I get stopped on the street quite often and it’s difficult to keep the storylines to yourself sometimes and not share them."

The three teenage prodigies love showing off their talents and hope to see their names in lights one day.

#Fi is produced by Boom Plant as part of a series following the lives of different children and won the ‘best children’s programme’ at the Celtic Media Awards 2014.

#Fi: Jodi, Ioan a Leisa will be shown on Wednesday afternoon, November 26, at 5.40pm, Stwnsh S4C

Afterwards it will be on demand at s4c.co.uk/clic
