VALE residents under the age of 30 will be able to get in business thanks to a grant scheme available until June next year.

The ‘Inspiring the Vale Bursaries’ grant scheme aimed at helping young people in the Vale set up their own businesses could provide up to £3k to help with the bursary providing 80 percent funding, with a 20 percent match required by the applicant.

Applicants must be aged 30 or under on the April 1 of this year, currently be living or have lived in the Vale for five years previously, and looking to set up a new business in the Vale.

23 new businesses started up as a result of the previous scheme.
