NO PARKING will be permitted in Lower Glebe Street from 5pm onwards on Saturday, November 29.

The Penarth Christmas Festival is set to take place on Sunday, November 30, when the Christmas lights will be unveiled after a day of stage entertainment commencing at 1pm in the town centre.

The town will be occupied by Victorian children’s rides, games, stalls and the all-important stage which will require a large amount of set up time, A Penarth Town Council spokesman said: "We therefore would appreciate your co-operation in refraining from parking in Lower Glebe Street after 5pm on Saturday, November 29.

"The area will be coned-off for the festivities taking place on Sunday. Please pass this message on. We apologise for any inconvenience the road closure may cause however the festival often suffers with cars being parked overnight in this area.

"Thank you in advance for your co-operation."
