PLANS have been lodged to transform the former Robert Smith car dealership on Windsor Road into a retail unit.
A planning application has been lodged by Ludlow Street Investment Corp for “a certificate of lawfulness” for the proposed retail use (A1) of the site.
The building has been empty since Robert Smith closed down in May last year.
Ludlow Street Investment Corp is a private equity investment business operating around the world, including the UK, Europe and the Middle East.
Fire crews were called out to a deliberate skip fire near the former dealership on July 22 last year, with minor damage caused to the side of the building.
