THE Co-operative food is planning to reinvest the profits from its entire carrier bag range in Wales to good cause.

This is in addition to the money raised by the existing statutory 5p charge on single-use bags, which is supporting conservation programmes in Wales.

The food stores across Wales will be stocking a new range of longer-life reusable bags which will help the environment and raise money for good causes.

The Co-operative Food expects to raise hundreds of thousands of pounds from its 150 food stores in the next 12 months, with the additional money reinvested in community projects.

All money made by their £1 bags and redesigned 10p bag for life will go to good causes.
