A PRESTIGIOUS performing academy that has worked with the likes of singing sensation Jodi Bird will be opening its doors in Penarth.

Superstars in the Making, a prestigious training academy for performing arts, has mentored hundreds of children since it was launched in Barry nearly six years ago.

The academy boasts an excellent array of talented young people, including Penarth based actress and singer Jodi Bird.

Classes have been running in Barry for six years and attract people from across South Wales, who travel up to an hour to get to the class.

Academy Principal, Christian Bullen, is a Welsh Director who has worked internationally, spreading his exciting approach to performing arts classes. His ethos is to build communication, social and performance skills in children to boost them for any career path they may choose.

Classes suit children who wish to perform as a professional, as well as those who wish to improve their confidence and communication.

Students also are presented with the opportunity to be represented by SITM Management for professional auditions and work in the creative industries.

Amy Smith, a graduate of Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, will be managing the Penarth classes and bringing this special training to children aged three to nine. Classes for older students will be added in the near future.

Classes will be opening at Trinity Church Hall Stanwell Road Penarth on Saturday afternoons.
