THE TOWN Council has launched a wheelbarrow competition as part of the activities on Carnival Day.
The competition is being run in partnership with schools from Penarth, Dinas Powys, Llandough, Cogan and Sully who have been invited to enter a floral wheelbarrow themed ‘the Garden by the Sea’ .
All the beautifully plated wheelbarrows will be on show at the Italian Gardens throughout the day.
The Town Mayor will judge the designs and prizes will be awarded to the winners.
The event is in its first year and the council are hopeful that its proves to be a well-supported event to the larger community.
For more information on the competition, contact the Town Council on 02920 700721.
