ST PETER's church in Old Cogan will be holding its annual open day on Saturday, July 5 between 2pm and 5pm.

It is the oldest building in Penarth, sited in its own hidden medieval village, but it is not locked in the past and enjoys the present as well as looking to the future.

Guests can learn something of the little church's history and its proposed conservation.

They can Listen to the gentle sound of recorders playing and a swinging jazz trio, wander around plant, bric -a -brac, and book stalls, or enjoy tea and home-made cakes.

By car, from Redlands Road turn into Sully Road and you will find St. Peter’s Church at the end of a short cul de sac with restricted parking which is opposite the Manor House hotel.

If you are walking, you can follow the footpaths from the end of Dinas Road or Cosmeston Country Park

Because of the restricted parking at St. Peter’s Church if you are using your car please park at St. Josephs’s Roman Catholic Primary School on Sully Road.

From there a free mini bus service will run to and from the church throughout the afternoon.
