THE Fig Tree Penarth has been included in the Good Food Guide for the sixth time in succession.
The restaurant, situated in a delightful converted Victorian seaside pavilion on Penarth esplanade, prides itself on good food at reasonable prices, supporting Welsh food and ale producers, and a warm and friendly service.
The Good Food Guide is the UK’s bestselling restaurant guide, and has been reviewing restaurants throughout the UK since 1951. Inspectors review pubs, restaurants and cafes anonymously, to ensure objectivity.
Mike Caplan-Hill, who runs The Fig Tree with his partner, Sandie Guppy, says. “It’s a great accolade to be in The Good Food Guide for six successive years. It’s the perfect reward for the hard work all the team puts into making the restaurant a great place for a night out.”
