A SPECTACULAR fireworks display put on by Penarth Rotary Club and Athletics Club wowed a packed crowd, writes Oonagh Thompson.
The Bonfire Night celebrations, on November 5, started late due to bad weather but a big audience turned out ready to be dazzled.
By the time the fireworks got underway the viewing area was full, despite the rain.
The audience was treated to an enthralling 20 minute display with the skies finally cleared.
There were so many impressive episodes that people watching repeatedly assumed that this must now be the finale, but no - there was more.
When the lights finally faded away, the crowd vanished, damp but thoroughly satisfied by the impressive display.
