The following cases were heard at Cardiff and Vale Magistrates' Court sitting at Cardiff:

Kevin William Gamble, aged 36, of Windsor Road, Penarth, was found guilty of stealing two skylight window frames and one pane of glass and three counts of failing to surrender to custody. He was sent to prison for a total of 26 weeks suspended for 12 months and was ordered to pay an £80 surcharge.

Roderick Hilton, aged 51, of Penlan Road, Llandough, pleaded guilty to racially aggravated assault. He was discharged conditionally for 12 months and ordered to pay £100 compensation. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £20 surcharge.

Michael John Baker, aged 56, of Caerphilly Close, Dinas Powys, was found guilty of failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. He was fined £660 and his licence endorsed with six penalty points. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £66 surcharge.

Samantha Margaret Caldwell-Thorne, aged 37, of Millbrook Heights, Dinas Powys, was found guilty of failing to comply with a red light traffic signal. She was fined £220 and her licence endorsed with three penalty points. She was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £22 surcharge.

Timothy Scott Warren, aged 48, of Wayside Cottages, Dinas Powys, pleaded guilty to driving without insurance. He was fined £270 and his licence endorsed with six penalty points. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.

Jodie Curtis, aged 25, of Castle Avenue, Penarth, was found guilty of speeding. She was fined £220 and her licence endorsed with three penalty points. She was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £22 surcharge.
