A GIRL from Penarth has "braved the shave" in memory of her grandmother and great uncle who died just three months apart.

Olivia Edwards, 17, raised £350 for Cancer Research UK in memory of Joan Lawson and Will Hellerman.

After the shave which took place at Hello Gorgeous on Glebe Street on Monday, August 15, the former pupil of St Joseph's Primary School and St Richard Gwyn High School said she felt "amazing."

Olivia said: "It's so liberating and I feel like I could do anything.

"I would recommend for anyone to do it because it's for a good cause.

"I did it in memory of my nan and my great uncle who both died three months apart 13 years ago.

Salon manager Sharon Brito helped to organise the shave.
