THE Pilot in Penarth will be holding a four-day beer and cider festival this Bank Holiday weekend.

Starting on Friday, August 26 at noon, the award-winning pub will showcase brewers from Wales and further afield.

Over the course of the Bank Holiday weekend, the CAMRA accredited pub will be serving up a wide array of ales and ciders.

Brewers on tap will include Great Heck, Twisted, Black Country and Errant. An exclusive festival foodie menu will also be available.

The Pilot’s general manager Francois Commeureuc expects the beer festival to be as popular as ever, saying: “The south Wales craft ale scene is truly thriving and with so many great brewers on tap all weekend we’re expecting a big turnout.

“For our last beer festival of the year we’ve got our fingers crossed for some glorious bank holiday sunshine.”

The Pilot is included in both the 2016 CAMRA real ale guide and the Michelin Eating Out in Pubs Guide 2016, the only pub across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan to appear.

Overlooking Cardiff Bay, The Pilot in Penarth is part of the Knife & Fork Food group.
