A BANNER calling for connection, tolerance and community was hung from a bridge in Penarth today (January 20)
The banner reading "Build bridges not walls" was hung over Pont y Werin bridge at 1.30pm following a procession through Penarth Marina.
The banner was created by Penarth Under 5s parent and child group along with the help of children from the town.
The banner was created as a response to what organisers see as a rise in populism and divisive rhetoric.
One resident who joined the procession said he joined it to make a stand and anything that brings people together to meet and feel they are not alone is a good thing.
