A WEDDING photographer from Penarth has won a national award for helping photographers struggling with IT.

Peter Morgan of Morgan James Photography won a National Photographic award from the Guild of National Photographers.

The award was for his special contribution for the members of the Guild of National Photographers and was presented to him at a ceremony in Crewe.

Mr Morgan is the IT technical help for new members and photographers with the guild.

He has voluntary position that allows him to help people of all ages struggling with IT when starting up in photography as well as existing photographers that need to streamline their work and make better technology choices.

Morgan James Photography, based in Penarth Heights has full time commercial team of wedding and sports photographers as well as advice for new photographers.

Mr Morgan said: "I was genuinely surprised.

"I certainly wasn't expecting to receive an award and had attended to the ceremony to show my support for some of the UK’s best photographers and friends.

"This awards validates everything I’ve worked towards over the last few years and shows that I really am on the right track.

"It also shows that hard work does pay off and that doing things for others without expecting anything in return does have it’s unexpected rewards."
