A TRIBUTE concert which is set to return to the town for its second year has sold out.

Penarth Rocks, organised by the team behind Glastonbarry, will be held in the Paget Rooms in Victoria Road on Saturday, April 29.

The first event put on by Mack Events in February 2016 saw more than 400 people attend.

This year, Queen tribute act Flash will be headlining the show.

They headlined Glastonbarry in front of 2500 people last summer and organisers said they were keen to book them again as soon as possible.

Their front man lives in Rome and is flying over for the show.

Ross Mackintosh from Mack Events said: "We are delighted to be back for a second year and we have such a great show lined up.

"Penarth Rocks was a great success last year but we believe this year will be the next level.

"Claudio is an incredible performer with a top class band behind him."

Who's Next, Europe's number one The Who tribute band will also be performing.

Mr Mackintosh said: "We have wanted to book these guys for a very long time but our dates have always clashed.

"Who's Next sell out venues all around the UK so to have them on the bill is great.

"They are a brilliant tribute to one of most iconic bands of the last 50 years"

Ska tribute band Too Toned, Soul and Motown band Get Ready and Sarah Brown are also set to perform

The event starts at 4pm and is for over 18s only.
