The following cases were heard at Cardiff and Vale Magistrates' Court sitting at Cardiff:

Sam William Morgans, aged 25, of Grimson Close, Sully, pleaded guilty to drink driving. He was fined £80 and his licence endorsed with 10 points. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.

Leigh-Ann Regan, aged 43, of Leckwith Road, Llandough, pleaded guilty to speeding. She was fined £206 and her licence endorsed with three points. She was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.

Jamie Christopher Lane, aged 27, of Bassett Road, Sully, pleaded guilty to speeding, He was fined £110 and banned from driving for 84 days. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.

James Francis Abbott, aged 30, of Windsor Road, Penarth, was found guilty of failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. He was fined £660 and his licence endorsed with six points. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £66 surcharge.

He was also found guilty of driving without insurance and driving without having a test certificate. He was fined a total of £880 and his licence endorsed with six points.

Elio Leo, aged 65, of Plassey Street, Penarth, pleaded guilty to driving whilst using a hand-held mobile telephone. He was fined £90 and his licence endorsed with six penalty poins. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.
