A VOLUNTEER driver for a community transport organisation is set to run 10KM to raise money for the charity.
Gill Evans, who also works as a warden at Redlands House in Penarth, drives for East Vale Community Transport (EVCT).
She is combining her voluntary work and her hobby by running the Severn Bridge 10K run on August 28.
EVCT has been helping people to get around in the eastern Vale since 1986.
The two minibuses are wheelchair friendly and, with the help of volunteer drivers, take groups on all sorts of journeys from the regular Llandough residents’ run to the supermarket or a school trip to a netball match.
If your organisation would like to use this service, contact Sharon Jesson on 02920 705138 or email enquiries @evct.org.uk
They also need drivers and would like to hear from community-minded people to act as trustees for the charity.
