The following cases were heard at Cardiff and Vale Magistrates' Court sitting at Cardiff:

Kamal John Coles, aged 30, of Criccieth Court, Dinas Powys, pleaded guilty to using threatening abusive or insulting words or behaviour. A community order was made requiring 80 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months. He was ordered to pay £50 compensation, £85 costs and an £85 surcharge.

Stessi Louisa Alicia Simpson, aged 28, of Nightingale Place, Dinas Powys, pleaded guilty to two counts of assaulting a police officer. She was sentenced to 12 weeks imprisonment suspended for 12 months. She was ordered to pay £200 compensation.

Darren James Williams, aged 47, of St Garmon Road, Penarth, pleaded guilty to driving without insurance. He was fined £500 and disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £50 surcharge.

Lisa Catherine Roberts, aged 44, of Plymouth Road, Penarth, pleaded guilty to three counts of speeding. She was fined a total of £200 and ordered to pay £85 costs. Her licence was endorsed with six points and disqualified for holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months.
