THE Penarth Aviation Society's monthly meeting is set to take place at Penarth Conservative Club on December 1.
This month's speaker will be society member Tony Clements. Mr Clements has a great interest in the aircraft of World War II and will be exploring the British and American fighters of this era in his talk.
Attendees are advised to arrive at around 7.45pm, for an 8pm start.
Mr Clements said: "This talk is intended to be a layman's appreciation of those Allied fighters available during the War. It will also take a look at some 'white elephants' – aircraft produced but never used.
"The talk will take the form of a pictorial representation of each aircraft, complete with brief relevant background details."
Engine expert Lawrence Ferris will be on hand to elaborate on any engine issues.
