INDEPENDENT restaurant and cocktail bar Etc. is under new ownership, after local entrepreneurs Alex Mules and Julia Bakshi made the decision to sell the business to a new investor.
The fee paid by new owner Konsa Micallef to purchase the business has not been disclosed.
Ms Bakshi said: “We’re delighted to be handing over the business to Konsa.
"Alex and I have had a wonderful time at Etc. Penarth and we are both confident that the restaurant will continue to thrive under Konsa’s direction as we continue to work on new ventures."
After opening in March 2016, Etc. Penarth scooped the Food Awards Wales 2017 ‘Best Restaurant of the Year’ for South East Wales earlier this year.
Mr Micallef said “I admire Alex & Julia’s strong commitment to modern fine dining, their devotion to quality and use of the finest, locally sourced ingredients, and can assure everyone that this pair’s dedication to delivering excellence is what I will be building on taking the business forward.”
