A NEWLY refurbished beer garden costing £65,000 has been unveiled at The Railway pub in Penarth.

The overhaul has increased the garden’s number of seats to almost 100, including heated and covered booths, new furniture, plants, foliage, and flooring.

The Stonegate Pub had faced a slight delay in opening the new garden due to the effects of Storm Emma and the Beast from the East, but is now officially ready for business.

“Our garden has always been popular and is an extension of the pub for use by all the community,” said manager Tom Galloway.

He added: “Pub gardens are a real tradition for a lot of pubs but there are not so many left with as much space as ours so we’ve maximised the space we have and welcome adults, children, even four legged friends to pop by and relax in the fantastic space.”
