OLD PENARTHIANS U10s 59pts

LLANDAFF NORTH U10s 40

ANOTHER improved performance saw Old Penarthians Rugby Club U10s cruise to this impressive victory.

Despite falling behind to an early try, the Old Pens quickly took command, creating tries early in the first half from Elis Cross, Josh Edwards and Georgia Morgan. The home side’s hard running game was backed up with some fine defence against a much larger side, and Josh led the line with well-timed tackles. Further tries from Kieran Gilbert-Jones and a second from Elis, combined with a flawless kicking display, put Old Pens into a 35-22 lead at half time.

The second half saw more of the same, with Liam Brooks claiming a well-taken try from close quarters before Elis completed his hat-trick. Two further tries to Georgia and Josh capped an excellent display from the entire team.

The side are going from strength to strength and their commitment and hard work in both matches and training means they look forward to further success in 2014.
