TWO Penarth karate exponents are celebrating achieving their black belts.
Andrew Lee and fellow student Angela Parsons have been training for 15 and 10 years respectively, and the grading examination comprised more than three hours of intense training.
Karate really runs in the Parsons family as Angela's success completes a 'home' treble, with husband Keith and daughter Jade being 3rd and 1st dan black belt holders respectively.
All students train with Sensei Lee Costa, who, along with Mike Humphries, runs the full-time karate training hall at Cogan Leisure Centre. For more details, check the website - www.karate-jutsu.org - or go along to the club any evening.
