WITH the League games finished, focus at Sully Bowls is set on club competitions which are now in full progress.

The senior triples finalists have been decided and will be between M Davies/R Richards/D Mason and P Taylor/R Jones/P Critcher to be played on Saturday or Sunday, March 29 or 30. One other competition to produce finalists is the Men's Rinks which involves two excellent teams of G Cogbill/K Harris/M Clarke/J Greenslade against G John/J Ackland/P Critcher/C Ackland to be played on either Saturday or Sunday, April 5 or 6.

The open triples is at the semi-final stage and the pairs has progressed to the 3rd round with the senior singles and open singles about to commence. There are some exciting battles due to take place over the coming weeks culminating with the grand finals weekend of bowls over Satuday and Sunday, April 5 and 6.

The Sully Juniors played the quarter finals of the Junior National Fours on Sunday at Newport IBC against a Rhondda Rink and won by 12 shots

16–4. The rink of Joe Coles/Jack Killin/Louis Peters and Rhys Phillips played well as a team with each player contributing with superb bowls during the game. Special mention must go to Jack Killin who although the most inexperienced player showed once again his ability to adjust to new surroundings and a different playing surface to have a very good game.

Sully Juniors have also qualified for the triples finals by virtue of a bye and both semi-finals and finals of the triples and fours will be played

at Rhondda IBC on Saturday, March 15.

As a reminder Sully Stadium is hosting the WIBA National Triples this Thursday, February 20, at 6pm and the National Pairs on Sunday, February 23, at 10am.
