STARING a 9-3 defeat in the face, Ex's took the three points from the team leg to force a 6-6 draw with RAFA B in last week's Penarth Darts League clash.

Starting very well, RAFA took the pairs 2-0 and 2-1, with Anthony (109 x1 and x10) and Gary (140). And, in the second pairs, Lee hit 100, 140, 140 100 x10 and Nathan (140 x16). Jack hit 100,100,100 x2 in reply for the Ex’s. High scores came from John (100) and Paul (100, 100). The singles were shared 2-2, with the Ex’s wins coming from 'Captain Jack' (140 x18) and Paul (110 x6). RAFA's winners were Anthony (100 x1) and David (x16). There were tons from Steve and Lee so, with RAFA 6-3 up on home soil, they had every chance of taking the match. However, the Ex’s kept their nerve to take the team leg when Steve dived in with a 140 x5.

Station enjoyed a good 7-4 away win over the Cross Keys. The pairs were shared, with Keys taking the first through Kevin and Tony (x10, x15). Mitch and Paul (140 x20, 100 x2) took the Station's two points. Peter hit 140 and Russ two tons. Keys won two singles when Peter hit x2 and Kevin (x16). Station also took two wins, with Mark (x20) and Paul (100 x8). With the match tied at 4-4, it was all on the team game which went the way of the Station.

Usually a close game, Coronation Oldies entertained Llandough Legion and the home side were in top form to record an 8-3 win. Legion started well enough to win the first pairs 2-0, with Dave (129 x2) and (100 125), with partner Martin hitting x6. Dai (10, 130 x10) and Stuart (76 out shot on x8) took the second pairs for the Coro. Legion won only one further point through Martin (100 x10) in the singles. All remaining singles went the way of the Coro, with Dai hitting 100 x10, Les (x9) and Stuart (100 100, x1).

Dave hit a 140 in the team game for the Legion but it was not enough as Dai stepped up to seal the win and take the three points with x2.

The Lion v RAFA A game was cancelled.

Games for this Friday are: Station v Coro' RAFA A v Keys; Ex’s v Lion; Legion v RAFA B.
