PRODUCING one of their most impressive performances of the season, Old Penarthians Rugby Clubs U10s secured a comfortable win over St Josephs.

In glorious weather, Old Pens grabbed the opportunity to put together a great display of strong running rugby, with Josh Edwards again at the centre of the action with two early tries that set the home side on their way.

Old Pens showed great commitment at the breakdown, with strong tackling and hard rucking leading to good periods of possession. Collecting his own clearing kick from deep inside his own half, Jack Powell added a third try to give his side a healthy half-time lead.

Man-of-the-match Powell also made some wonderful tap tackles before adding another two tries in the second half.

Old Pens' great attacking performance was underpinned at all times by excellent defence from the entire team, with numerous try-saving tackles, especially from Rhys Stout and Ifan Davies, restricting the opposition to a single score.

Further tries from Josh and Kieron Gilbert-Jones saw Old Pens run out convincing winners.
