THE Welsh Karate League's champion of champions event at Penarth's Cogan Leisure Centre was a great success for the local Hutchinson family.
Attracting just under 400 competitors and an equal amount of spectators, the event was a great success, with the Cogan club family members - Connery, Tylia, Keana and Trinity - finishing top of their categories and picking up silverware after a long season of winning points leading to the champion of champions.
Trinity will be travelling to Italy to defend the gold medal won at last year's European championships, and the club wishes her the best of luck.
If anyone is interested in training at the local club, they can go to www.karate-jutsu.org or pop along to the Cogan Leisure Centre any evening as the club runs as a full time dojo.
