Sully Sports 5 - Penydarren 3

SULLY Sports played their final league game against the in form Penydarren and started off the better.

Swanbridge was at its devilishly best with a southerly wind blowing in off the sea making it tricky to control a lively ball.

With the double Ls Dan and Alex combining well up front and after 20 minutes, Lawlor pounced for 1-0. Soon to be 2-0 as the midfield again created Lawlor's second. The visitors were also having their share on chances, but the Sports defence held firm.

Dan Lawlor completed a fine hat trick, on 30 minutes with Long making it 4-0 at the break.

The second half saw Penydarren score a nice goal and as Sports rang the changes, another goal from the visitors with a cracking blast with help from the wind.

Sub Garon Davies thought he had netted Sully's fifth only to find the goal line technology wasn't working at Sully, undeterred he felt hard done by not to get a penalty before a 25 yard thunderbolt enabled Garon to eventually get Sports a fifth. A bit of slack defending saw Sports give away a free kick as concentration was lacking and the Penydarren player hit a perfect strike on the near post. The game finished with Sports again attacking again but the score remained the same.
