THIS week's Penarth Darts League games produced a couple of unexpected results, with hosts Coro Oldies suffering an 8-4 defeat against the Station. Russ hit the all-important double (x10) in the four-a-side leg.
Home side RAFA B were held to a 6-6 draw by the Legion, with captain D I Davies hitting x10 to take the three points for the team leg.
At the Golden Lion, the home side lost to Ex’s Sparrows, with 'Captain Jack' hitting a 92 out shot in the singles and Steve Turnbull scraping a win in the team leg with x1 to take the three points.
There were some close games at the Cross Keys where the visitors were RAFA A. Both sides had plenty of high scores but Paddy outshone everyone with a timely 114 out to take his singles. Ian went on to take the team game on x16 to ensure an 8-4 for RAFA.
