NEARLY 200 competitors took part in the annual Jubilee Cup Stableford at the Glamorganshire Golf Club on Saturday.
With the course still playing winter rules and nearly perfect weather conditions, scoring was much improved on previous weeks and the standard scratch for the day was 71.
The overall winner was former second team player Andrew Smith with a stunning score of 42 points, which included four birdies. Second and third were Steve Dorman and Barry Sayers respectively.
The full result was: 1, Andrew Smith, 42 points; 2, Steve Dorman, 39; 3, Barry Sayers, 38 (on back nine countback); 4, Paul Mantle, 38; 5, Spencer Robinson, 37.
The next competition is the May Medal on Saturday, May 10.
