FOLLOWING two 17-0 wins over Sully Blues and Cowbridge B, the Cogan Coronation U13s side, with two games left, has one hand on the Vale Junior Soccer League crown. But their championship credentials will be seriously tested by fellow title hopefuls Barry Athletic next week.

In a top v bottom encounter, Sully provided the opposition for Cogan's last home fixture and the writing was on the wall for the visitors straight from kick off when Penarth striker Sam Green dribbled to the edge of the area before unleashing an unstoppable shot.

Despite a valiant effort, Sully struggled to cope with the movement and passing of a confident Cogan side bang in form and they netted through Cam Gauci (five), Green (three), Louis Crook (two), Ellis Dibble, Luke Warlow, Ryan Packer, Cian McCarthy, Alex John, Cole Roberts and Tom Cahalane with his first of the season.

Against another struggling side, Cowbridge B, Cogan huffed and puffed for most of the first half.

With Cogan leading 5-0 at half-time, manager Lee 'Packer' Williams tweaked the personnel and stressed the importance of team play and the players, shaking off their complacency, responded well to net another 12 goals. Cogan marksmen were Warlow (five), Gauci (four), Aron Arthur (three), Ellis Dibble and Luke Birnage (two each) and Crook.
