Sully Sports FC u14s are the West Sussex Cup Tournament Champions.

The football played by Sully Sports against some exceptional sides was first class and the boys were a huge credit to their families who came to support them and Sully Sports Football Club.

The Margate coach said: "The best team won a fantastic competition with total football."

The Bath City coach said: "The way Sully Sports move the ball with quick two touch football had teams chasing their shadows on the hot Bank Holiday weekend."

Southwick who were the pace setters after the opening two games, coach said: "We were outclassed from a team of 16 who had no weakness to exploit." Dagenham found life hard to accept on the first day and Crofton admitted they were lucky to draw the group game. The Referees (four of them) commentated that they admired the way Sully played their football all the way through. In the bar the talk was of the Welsh u14 side with the round ball.

The final was much tighter as the result shows but Sully who were extremely calm with five volunteers and two more volunteers at pens 6 and 7 ready to take spot kicks. Sully slotted their first four, with Crofton hitting the bar with their second penalty and Luc making a fantastic penalty save on the Crofton fourth, volunteers 5,6 and 7 weren't required and the celebrations started. Crofton were worthy sporting finalists and to a player on both sides both have massive credit as sporting hand shakes took place with Sully knowing how Crofton felt from their previous experiences. Wonderful to see.

The players received their awards and trophies from BBC Football League Pundit Steve Claridge and the winners trophy was coming back to Sully Sports home in South Wales.

The players and families enjoyed a gala evening meal at The Anchor Pub in Sidlesham. Sully Sports FC u14 would like to thank Steve the landlord for his hospitality for allowing them to enjoy the success of their tour 2014.
