THE ladies of Windsor carry on the season in great form which brings a large smile to Captain Veronica's face. More victories to skip Moyra Owen with Angela Hudson, Di Roper and Di Thomas.

In her rink a 20 shot to 9 against Penarth Rectory Road consolidated a fine win. Then with Lars White, Ruth Evans, Sharon Patterson the Welsh Dynamo put the ladies of Fairwater to the sword by 16 shots to 11. Aided and abetted by Bernice Roberts, Pat Dorrell, Veronica Flitney and skip Di Thomas also winning by the same score overall victory was secured.

Due to adverse weather the gentlemen had only two games being playable. The Alliance team visited Penylan and lost by 12 shots. This despite a super victory for Tommy Owen, David Adams, Don Stafford and the mighty atom skip Phil Parry.

Mention to for veteran Ken Trenchard and his rink of Reg Paull, Dave Howells, Mike Cuccenielli who won by just two shots.

In the first of the seasons private greens matches Windsor first sixteen lost a thrilling match at Cardiff Mackintosh by seven shots. With the final end to play Windsor were two shots to the good overall but expensive shots dropped on that last end cost the visitors dear.

With the cost of fast food on the increase Tony Holmes was able to make himself available and with cohorts Richard Flitney, Chas Burton and Rod Hudson continued their fine winning run by 22 shots to 18. Likewise the unbeaten run of Matthew Woodcocks rink just managed to secure a two shot victory with Brian Rogers, Alan Dudley and Eddie Thorne all playing their part.

The club is very grateful to Matthew for delaying his departure to Canada where he is an integral part to the mechanical team of Lewis Hamilton and the Mercedes team.

The rinks of captain Paul Gunter and vice captain fought like tigers but their defeats by a combined score of 13 shots was enough to ensure that 7 shots deficit.

The PG2 game was cancelled as David Hales misread the shipping forecast and got the Bristol Channel confused with the storm torn German bight.
