THE Windsor Bowls Club Tuesday Alliance team were defeated by 50 shots to 73 by the visiting Barry Plastics team.

The following day a reversed fixture saw Windsor gain revenge in the Munro Cup match and maintain their challenge for the title.

The valuable 14 points garnered by Windsor's 86 shots to 41 game came courtesy of the rinks of A.Meredith, P.Morrish, Alan Dudley and Eddie Thorne 19-14. W.C Lewis, A.Woodcock, M.Hope and Ken McLeod 17-11. M Matthews, P.Gooding, Lloyd Jones and Paul Gunter. Captain 20-10. R.Flitney, Charles Burton, R.Hudson and fast food magnate Tony Holmes.

For the Saturday PG1 game at Pentyrch the same rinks with the addition of B.Rogers and Matthew Woodcock replacing Meredith and Morrish triumphed by 40 shots and secured 12 points.

The winning rinks were those of skips Holmes, Woodcock and McLeod with Captain Paul Gunter unluckily losing by one shot with the very last wood of a highly competitive game.

The PG2 team suffered something of drubbing at the hands of the visiting Whitchurch team. In losing by 101 shots to 59 they were indebted to Skip Peter Morrish and colleagues Don Stafford, Dave Brenton and Phil Parry for their lone rink victory by 21 shots to 14.

The ladies of the club have been equally as busy but the carrier pigeon carrying all the details has yet to arrive. Hopefully by next week it will have returned to its loft.
