AFTER a tough couple of weeks for both teams the first XV welcomed Cardiff Saracens, and the second XV welcomed Dinas Powis.

The weather was kind and stayed dry for the third week running, which meant all teams could look forward to some running rugby.

And the crowd were not let down, both sides putting their markers down early, and some ferocious tackling ensured a high tempo game followed. Neither side giving an inch and trying different waves of attack. But the home side took early advantage. Barn storming runs from man of the match Jon Blake and Jody Velda ensured Sully Sports kept the edge and maintained the advantage over this well drilled Saracens side.

Saracens took control at the break down and over turned some crucial ball and kept up their attack, ensuring Sports had to work hard to defend their line. But working together and some inspirational plays ensured they turned this around and hard work at scrumage saw them stay on top and come away with the win.

Try's from Barry Phillips, Rhys Manford, Matt Phillips, Jon Blake and conversions from Jake Williams, ensured the team maintained home advantage and ran out winners 33-21.
