THE Men and Ladies captain of Glamorganshire Golf Club took on a different challenge this year, which was to support the charity Cystic Fibrosis.

They both took part in the Cardiff Half Marathon on October 5 to test themselves physically and to help a good cause.

Not content with just taking part in the usual club events such as charity golf days, Leon Reece and Justine Blunsdon, owner of the Spar in Lavernock, were seen on many occasions running between Penarth and Barry in preparation.

They completed the race in two hours and 15 minutes and raised an incredible £1800 for Cystic Fibrosis.

Leon and Justine would like to thank all family, friends, members of Glamorganshire Golf Club and the customers of the Spar for their very generous donations.
