DINAS Powys FC has scored sponsorship with a Cardiff hotel for the third consecutive year.

The four-star Radisson Blu Hotel, located in the centre of Cardiff, has donated full kits worth £1000 to the under 13s junior and senior seconds squads.

Both teams play at respected levels, with the senior seconds playing in the Welsh league, which is the second tier of the Welsh football pyramid, and the under 13s junior playing in the Vale of Glamorgan league.

Dinas Powys FC has been running for more than 40 years and is the only club in the Vale of Glamorgan to have gained Silver accreditation for its coaching and club standards.

Alan Marshall, director of operations at Radisson Blu, Cardiff, said: “We’re pleased to once again support Dinas Powys FC. The club works hard to provide opportunities for all ages to experience the game of football. We believe it’s very important to give back to the local community and it’s great that we’re able to support the club which is an integral part of the Dinas Powys community.

“We wish both teams and the club the best of luck for the season and we will enjoy watching their games.”

Lee Saunders, manager of Dinas Powys FC, said: “We’re thrilled that the Radisson Blu Hotel has continued its sponsorship for the third year. "The club is at the heart of the community which has been able to help men, women and children of all ages play football. As a club, we have experienced some great successes including the first team winning ‘The South Wales Amateur League’ for three consecutive seasons.

“However, the club would be non-existent without the kindness and generosity of companies such as the Radisson Blu Hotel. Both teams have now been provided with brand new kit, which the players are proud to wear. We’re looking forward to watching the teams play in their kit and continuing to build our relationship with the hotel in the future.”
