GIANT FISH: David Manley caught this 9lb cod
DAVID Manley, who is not a part of any club yet, caught an impressive 9lb cod on the Penarth Beach at 8.30pm.
David managed to reel in the fish by the RNLI slipway 30 minutes before the high tide.
The cod was caught on a one hook boom rig, with an 80lb nylon coated wire rig body with a 5oz gripper weight with 50lb shock leader line on a 25lb line. David got the cod with two big rag worms.
