PENARTH Sea Angling’s first Christmas competition took place on Sunday, December 7 with all prizes taken on the beach.
First went to Ray Starling with three codling weighing 5lb.
Second was Dean Bowser with a codling and dog fish weighing 3lb 6ozs.
Colin Boagey was third with two codling weighing 2lb 12ozs.
Fourth was Richie Taylor with a codling and whiting for 2lb 2ozs.
Top junior member was Owen Harding with a 1lb 6oz codling.
Next junior member Jacob Mills caught a 7oz whiting.
The second Christmas competition is this Sunday, fishing from the pier and beach from 9am until 1pm.
