THE Penarth Bridge Club celebrated the start of the festive season with its Christmas party on Friday, December 5. While all the members gorged themselves on the wonderful food provide by Hazel Craig and her helpers, the evenings Bridge prizes (kindly donated by the “Pen and Paper”, Royal Arcade, Cardiff) were being won by Joy Secular and Audrey Hall. Runners up were Carol Cochlin and Pam Sherman.

There were four spot prizes and of course the dreaded wood spoons which were won by one pair.

On December 2, the Club played in the Celtic Simultaneous Pairs. The club night was won by two ex members, Graham Ratclift–Jones and Paul Cunningham.
